Yesterday at Starbucks my friend and I were having coffee next to the window. It seemed like after every 5 or 6 minutes a small child and their mom would stare at us,point, wave, smile and walk away. My friend mentioned that we are like a monkey at the zoo. Maybe next it happens, I'll throw my banana at the window and jump around on the table. |

Many moons ago I managed the kitchen in a pizza restaurant in England.
My boss was an extravagant gay guy. Fucking revolting character he was all fucking spotty and gangly. Used to discuss his protein breakfasts in the kitchen.
New Years day he had to open the restaurant for a few hours. He didn't want to serve anybody and the only people who appeared to be wandering around looking in were Chinese students from the uni down the road.
Every time they looked in the window he ran out the side door of the restaurant wearing one of the waiting staffs panties on his head and her bra on and started throwing chicken wings at them shouting that here were their chicken wings and to go away.
Bizarre old day. |

It can be terribly, terribly annoying, I know, but try not to get offended because they point and giggle out of reverence your high nose and big eyes which Koreans in their millions have artificially imposed on themselves. Learn some rude Korean phrases. I know many and have used them many times and get this - this backs up my point - when you let them know that you're displeased and offended, they simply have no idea what they've done wrong, will look at each dumbfounded, and usually apologize ("sodey") none the wiser as to what they've done that's bad. |

LMAO. Yeah, I'd say that would draw some spikes on the Bizarre-Magnitude Scale.
What did the Chinese students do? Run away and then come back hoping to catch some more wings?? |

I turned a corner the other day and surprised a kid. He told his mates that there was a waigookin. To be fair, he was just surprised.
I asked him in Korean where the waigook was, and then told him I was Korean.
Loved the look of shock on his face.
I had walked about 10 m on before he got it together and then said hello to me, in Korean

Why I never take a street-level window seat at a Korean restaurant. |

Seriously, don't take the stares personally or let them get to ya. Foreigners are new to this country, are rare, and interesting... let em stare! Heh, I don't care. And have fun with it like the guy who posted above me did. |

eh... I could never watch more than a few minutes of SouthPark before switching the channel. So, this is the most I've ever watched and I felt like I should've had a beer to enjoy it. |

According to teachers I've spoken to, Korea has been invaded hundreds of times. I wouldn't say that foreigners are new here. Hell they've been occupied by em long enough. |

I was on a break last week in a sushi place and a little kid and his mom were sitting near me. Out of nowhere, the little kid runs up to me and points at me, screams "waygooken, waygooken, Ohma, Waygooken!!!!"
I looked over at him, pointed to him and said "Anyohaseyo, Idem moya?"
He froze, then ran out the open door into the crowd of people on the sidewalk. He must have been around 5 or 6. His mom got up and ran after him out the door. I watched her run back and forth past the door frantically. I felt bad because she couldn't find him. I scared the hell out of him pretty bad. She came back in and gave me a death stare with her kid in tears. |

There was a monkey at the Seouland Zoo inside this dome shaped walkway with tons of tropical plants....
...everytime I went near him he screamed, jumped, climbed and shook the bars wildly on his cage....
out of his sight and he stopped...back in and freaking out...
I expect poo would have been on his agenda for me had a remained there long enough...
...could've been courting me though as my hair color was the same as his...and he was alone in the cage at the time...
...or maybe he thought I was coming to steal his women in the back...hmm...not sure... |

Has anyone ever been to the ape & monkey exhibit at the zoo at Seoul Grand Park? Take a look at how the Koreans interact with the apes and monkeys. You should be able to empathise very well indeed. |

Been to Everland where some gangster wannabe was throwing bananas to the begging oragnutang
Got told not to and he started giving some mnkey worker shit.
Funnier was the ones with the long black tails hanging from a rope throwing poo at a worker as he walked by. |
