I live in Busan and I love to smoke good cigars. But, I am having a difficult time finding good cigars in Busan. I have heard that there are a few good cigar shops in Seoul. Unfortunately, I do not go to Seoul often.
Can someone please give me some information on how to order some nice cigars from Seoul and have them shipped to my place in Busan.
Any information will be greatly appreciated. |

You don't have to buy your cigars from Seoul. By them online and have them shipped to you. Cigars in Korea are over priced. I buy my DR or Honduras cigars from http://www.bigsmokecigars.com/
For my Cubans, I buy them from https://www.cigarone.com/
I just ordered a box of Sancho Panza Belicosos for about 230,000 won including shipping. That's less than 10,000 won per stick. Cigar One is offering free shipping from now until July.
Enjoy and happy shopping. |

quick plug to my mates at http://seoulsteves.com
one of their interests is a cigar club here in seoul ... i'm sure they'd have the skinny on a good way to get cigars.
if it's like their wine club, then they would definitely be the ones to ask ... they gave away some nice cigars at the wine club meeting i went to ... |

Hi fellow cigar infecionado. I'll have a new supply of cohibas and other assorted fine Cuban labels...in August. I'll be at the home-front then--on holidays at our home in Holguin and by the sea. They're much better than the old "dusty stock" available in Seoul. My supplier ships me the [cohiba] items by train from La Havana to Holguin - special orders - we then do the cutting [in-house] and add the rings in our secret factory. Old Hat in Cuba. They're not copies or "duds" but the real item. We may set up a Cuban style smoke room "hof" /salsa club here in Gunsan City...in our city's party zone. We plan to provide salsa and timba lessons; and play live salsa music on the weekends (expat and Korean band). Currently, I'm sold out of my last batch of excellent churchills and bolivars! It's soon time to re-stock the humidor in SK. You don't need to go to Seoul or order items online (my prices will be 1/2 the current market value applied here in SK)...note: you can buy excellent Dominican cigars for 10,000 won (san pedros) here in Korea. At least, they're available at many spots in our city. Common items...they're not the little cruddy types one can find stuffed in the small metal [flat] cases...they're properly rolled and kept in a metal tube case with a proper mini-humidor. They're, in fact, just as good as many of the standard Cuban brands...albeit not even close to an actual [i]cohiba esplandedo[/i]. But very good, nonetheless.
Cheers - mucho gusto - email me if you want more info.

When I was in Busan last February...the place in town that had the Cuban cigars...was the small confectionary located around the corner from the main lobby of the Lotte Hotel [Inter'l]. I picked up a few Romeo y Julietas...out of a small humidor. Good to go!
Seoul, of course, has a good cigar room you can browse in...located in the Marriot Hotel (above the main bus terminal). Good luck! |

Who makes San Pedros Cigars? I have heard and tasted San Pedro cigars, but they are neither great nor from the Dominican Republic. They are from Honduras. I would never pay more than $4 per stick for one of them. It's not a bad cigar, but not one that I would enjoy having at night. It's a good cigar too go with an afternoon or morning coffee.
Zebra, how do you get them so cheap in Cuba? Prices are often more expensive there than buying them overseas. I know there are a lot of "secret shops" as you call it, but they are usually selling lesser quality cigars with bands that have been bought. This is quite common in Cuba now. It's the "my father works at a cigar shop and controls the boxes. He then gives them to me and I sell them for a much cheaper price routine." Getting cigars this way would be virtually impossible due to the amount of security that these factories have.
Having said all this, I love cigars and would be more than happy to buy a couple off of you to test the quality. I don't have to have name brands. As long as the cigar is wrapped well with a nice leaf, has a good cap, draws smooth, and has no short filler, I am happy to smoke it.
So pm me to set up a tasting.
Cheers, |

Sorry chap--you're right--I mentioned the wrong name! The 'san pedros' are crap. It's the Dominican Republic hand-rolled cigars that we have here in Gunsan, and they're called, Don Diego aniversario [corono]. Good cigars; nice flavour...smoothies.
As for the Cuban cigars...we have a home in Holguin and a pad on the ocean at Calatoni. Canadian-Cuban clan. No Americans in sight for a thousand miles And, I've never smoked a bad cigar yet in Cuba...as I said...we do the cutting and packing under the mangos. I don't do the hotel scene or wear fake rolexes...simply do my best to support the local networks and enjoy the best of life on the island. Cuba linda.
Send me your email and we can stay in touch. Hasta luego y que te via muy bien |

Cohiba's recommendation, http://cigarsofhabanos.com/ , is indeed a great site. I just received a box of beautiful cigars this morning (Sunday), exactly four days from when I placed the order. The delivery was unbelievably fast and free! Thank you, Cohiba.
However, I do have to disagree with a comment you made.
There are many great non-Cuban cigars. To suggest otherwise is, quite frankly, ignorant. |
