|
|
It seems that with the seasonal removal of the Korean Burka, alas I'm showing a bit of leg and possibly the turn of my shoulder but no cleavage, I'm getting the "Are you Russian?" Question again from Korean men . Any suggestions for one line reply good reply ?
As much as I would like to insult the bozo's manhood, I would rather make them think about the judgment they are making about women in general. I've been asking them if they are Japanese, but that doesn't seem to work. Since I can speak some Korean, it just seems to encourage them, and they start making pitiful attempts to flirt. [/u] |

Too bad they won't understand.
I just say "CANADA" and they go away. It's not going to make them rethink approaching every white woman they see for sex, but - it makes them go away! |

They might just be asking, not necessarily wanting sex. I've had women ask if I'm Russian and I'm a dude with dark hair. Of course, if these ladies would've wanted to pay me for sex, I would've probably been game. |

When i didn't say hello to the 13,704 hellos that some children spurted out in 2 seconds I was labeled as Russian. Interesting really... "He doesn't respond to hello with Hello... must be Russian."

So random men ask you if you're Russian? Where does this happen, on the street? Bus? Just curious.
You might want to consider just giving them the ole middle finger. |

I had a cab driver ask me if I'm from Uzbekistan the other day. I wonder if he wanted to pay me for sex. |

I've been getting really annoyed with these comments as well! A few people have told me to take it as a compliment because it can mean that they think you are attractive, but to me, it is just insulting! I live next to a bunch of seedy love motels and when I'm walking home late at night, the last thing I want is for some drunk Korean men to ask me if I am Russian. Lately, I cannot go a night without getting the comment at least once, so now I just tell them to *beep* off. I know it is not that original, but I'm quite new here, so my Korean is very limited! Like the OP said, any suggestions would be much appreciated! |

I'm having a hard time coming up with a response. OP, can you post a photo?

"vuss-en vom-en r the vest"
I dont think you should feel offended or complemented. Imagine how american asians feel when we are like "are you from china" to everyone.
Although, me being a male, it is different.
best of luck with that |

I don't get offended when Koreans ask me if I'm Russian. I mean, since I don't carry an oversized backpack with a Candian flag patch, where else would they think I'm from? |
