OK, another packing question:

I like to straighten my hair with a ceramic hair straightener, but I know that there are issues with plugs and voltage if I bring my own.

Do they sell ceramic hair striaghteners in South Korea? If so, where coud I get one?

I'm just wondering, because asian hair seems very straight in general, and they might not have as much demand for straighteners there as in North America.

Asian people straighten their hair all the time. Smile

You can always look online for really good ceramic straighteners. That's where I get mine.

Also, if you already have a straightener that you like you might want to check if the plug is dual-voltage. Mine is, so it should be fine to use in Korea with just a plug adapter. The adapters are really cheap and easy to buy - I got two for about fifty cents each in one of the big markets.

Straightening irons are available all over the place at a range of price points. There's no need to bring one, but if you have one you love and it's dual-voltage, you could bring it.

I doubt it, most Koreans don't have ceramic hair.

I'm looking for a GOOD one, and I have yet to find it. Does anyone know where I can find a good one? (They cost $150-200, unlike the crap you can get in department stores.)

I've tried a few brands here and none of them work on my hair so if you have especially troublesome hair I would try and bring some dual voltage ones from home.

GHD - absolutely the best! I use mine (from the UK) in the sockets here with no problem. You can order here for delivery to Korea:

Yeah, I have a cheap one too and it's "fine" I guess. It's better than nothing. But I want one that will work faster and better. Not going to get that at Lotte Mart.
