Hi
This question just suddenly popped into my head. When writing names like MacDonald's or McKluskey, is it also possible to place the lower case "ac" and "c" at the top, like.. M**Donald's or M*Kluskey ? Or is that just totally wrong?? Thanks!

Names with 'ac' and 'c' used to be commonly written with those letters up in the air. Can it be done with a computer keyboard? Mine does it automatically with 1st and 7th, but not here.

Sure you can do it with a computer keyboard. In Word, for example, you need to make it a superscript. It's under FORMAT-->FONT.

My family name is written M*D... and, as far as I can tell, always has been. The 'c' is also underlined.
