Oh, hey, the Ramones are mostly dead, so they could totally steal "Bam bam bam bam, ba bam bam bam bam. I wanna be Seoul-dated."

How about

City of 'Soul'

Kind of a double meaning. And, of course, Seoul has no Soul.

How about they also replace 'sparking' with 'dimly lit'

That would be a lot better. Of course, it sounds a lot like San Diego's slogan, "The City With Sol."

I think "Cheating Bosses, Neon Crosses" would be cool.

I like that one!

(BTW, my home state's tourism slogan is "Explore Minnesota" and one of the unofficial slogans is "Land of 10,000 Lakes" even though there are over 15,000.

Its the most soulless place on earth; Korea generally lacks soul. A laughable slogan.

Seoul: We want your money, but we don't really like you. If possible, don't speak in public.

Smart Asan
Fast Cheonan
Super Pyongtek

These are some of the worst I have seen in Korean and they are all very close to each other.

"Aha! Suncheon" is what my town came up with.

As far as that psychedelic album cover Seoul came up with . . . I actually don't have anything to say. There's nothing to say. Terrible. Awful. And nothing at all to do with Seoul, with Korea, or with anything.

Anyone seen that new commercial for Seoul on the Discovery Channel? Starts out with the girl and male friend in Lotte World. According to her, Seoul has bumper cars, Korean food, and some other things I couldn't make out. I've seen the commercial three or four times now and I still can't understand what she's saying.

Doesn't that commercial start with a barking dog?

She's better than the ad for a hagwon on the buses near Yangjae. "A-ee ken suh-pee-kuh En-guh-lee-shee."

On the other hand, the Seoul commercial is directed at English speakers. I have just two words to say about that commercial (other than the atrocious English): Sensory overload.

That commercial is just like Korean websites: complicated and chaotic as hell. While that may work for Koreans, if they're trying to attract westerners, they've undoubtedly done just the opposite with that disorganised and amateurish advertisement. Crushing as much as possible into thirty seconds (with non-understandable commentary) just isn't going to have any positive effect on anybody I know back home.
