The police just pulled a cab over for running a red near my apartment. I couldn't believe it ...

Maybe there's an earthquake coming. Did any of the other animals in your area act strangely?

There's a law against running red lights in Korea? When did this take effect?

Yea, I saw a cop pull over a car the other day at about 7:30 in the morning. Siren and everything. Traffic was very light. It was a ways from any light. I just wondered what the heck the driver could've possibly done to be pulled over! Hit and Run?? Speeding!?? What's next? Parking tickets??

They can be downright aggressive when it comes to parking tickets.

Certainly more aggressive than they are with traffic enforcement.

The parking patrol used to run down our street in Suwon (by Haniltown) about twice a day handing out parking tickets. They were easily collecting a 2 or 3 million per day in fines off our street alone.

That's because they can walk around and not be in harm's way for the most part while still collecting revenue.
