|

I want to get into geocaching and I'm looking for a handheld GPS device that is either a) really cheap and displays coordinates or b) moderately-priced and does loads of stuff. An English interface is essential.
Is there anyone here who knows much about these devices, and where I might find such a thing? I assume Yongsan, but I just know if I ask for "GPS-uh" they'll point me to the ones for cars.. |

I bought a Garmin Etrex last year from ebay, paid $110 including shipping to Korea. |

I'd also like to know if one can find a handheld GPS in Korea. I live in Busan. Does anyone have any suggestions? |

Let me clarify. I just want something that I can keep in my bag, and that will let me know where the f*ck I am when I am walking around, lost in Busan. You know, with maps and stuff. I don't really care if it's in hangul or not. And I don't need it to go hiking.
I know there are a bajillion threads about GPS on here, and I read all of them. I'm still confused! |

I was just thinking about this earlier today!
It would be awesome to have a handheld GPS with the same functions as the car ones, directions, estimated times of arrival etc. It would be like walking around with a talking map that adjusted itself. |

I know, it would be convenient, wouldn't it? The reason I'm asking is because I know someone who knows someone who is teaching in Taiwan, and he has a GPS that he uses so he doesn't get lost walking around. And he can't live without it.
I'd even carry around one that was for a car if it wasn't too big and didn't need to plugged into something to work. |

Can you get GPS on some phones here?
I'm almost certain you can. |
