I tried to search for this kind of information but haven't been able to find anything...
I'm currently in the process of applying to universities and I know that many will require a demonstration lesson during the interview process. I was just wondering if anyone had any advice regarding this, as I really don't know what to expect. Do you just choose your own subject and start teaching or do they ask you to teach something in particular? Do they provide a book or just leave you to it?
Any advice from those who have been through it is appreciated, ta! |

Well, if its worth anything, I had to do this for my high school position in the states. In that situation, they gave me a topic and I had to give a presentation in any way I chose (powerpoint, worksheets, etc). I'm guessing they will give you a certain topic but they will want you to be creative about it to see your own specific style.
I also applied to a high school position in Korea. They gave me a few copied pages from a book and had me pretend they were students (awkward). I know this doesn't completely answer your questions, but hope it helps =) |
