If someone will dig up the thread, I posted NUMEROUS transportation options from the last one.
Last month was just a trial-run, to see if some people who hadn't been to one before (south-of-the-river types) liked the location and thought it would provide all the things neccessary for a 'proper' get-together.
From An-san, I think it would be easiest to go to one of the railway stations, (Su-ri san on the Blue line has a new KNR stop/station, right? Or go to the one over in Su-won) and get a ticket for O-san/Pyoung-taek. Cheap, fast, easy.
Driving, riding, train, bus - heck, a bunch of people in one of the mini-call taxivans could probably work it out reasonably. Unless you were thinking motorcycle, there is a cheap, easy way to get there. Seoul has lots of choices/option for people, and it is really not THAT far south!!! Not even as far as Daejon . . .
Considering the snow, how about a close-by ski/snowboard option instead???
