				| OK I'm in a bizarre situation.
My boss organised a trip to the east coast for me my fellow englishman and all of the teachers at the school, just as a fun vacation.

However I was desperate to go to the Seoul DJ festival and so I came up with an excuse saying that I was having relationship problems and I couldn't go to the beach.

I heard nothing from any of my coworkers or my boss until a night later whereby I received this text message from my boss -

"I can't trust you any more. The person that I really hate is one that doesn't keep promises and says excuses. So pack your things and go to your country, I don't want to hear from you again"

I've only been working there for 7 weeks and everything was going absolutely fine. I knew that korean culture would kick me in the ass for missing the vacation but I was prepared to suffer a little discomfort at work for a while. However I never expected that!!

My problem now is securing a release form. I did not attend school today due to the simple fact that I have tried calling and texting in order to sort this mess out but my boss refuses to reply and has been relaying information back to me through my english co worker.

I think I have a new job but if I cannot get that release form I'm guessing I can't get a transfer or do a visa run to Japan. Can someone help me with this one, I cannot afford to go back to england and start this process again, would a school pay for me to return to london?

 What a fucked up week.

				| That is pretty screwed up. Did you have any co-workers who didn't care for you? Someone might've talked to your boss behind your back.
But, even granting that, it's still pretty F'ed up.

				| plus, sounds like you were spotted at the festival btw, or at least seen somewhere you shouldnt have been, given the story you gave them. cant you just call into the school and act civil today, not turning up may have been a bad move as they may have given in if you just appeared for work the next day. Hva e a long coffee and cigarette and dress smart casual, go to the school and talk about your release letter, if they are rude walk away | |

				| Update:
I just got a call from my co-worker saying that they're also not happy with my teaching, preperation or time keeping (which has been spot on if I do say so myself).

So rather than feeling guilty for sending me that message, they're trying to escalate the situation and make me feel worse. She wanted me to go in and explain myself....but there is no way i'm giving them the satisfaction.

So I replied saying I wanted no phone calls, no messages, just a release letter. I have a place to stay but only 200,000 in my pocket, I'm totally screwed if she doesn't give it to me.

What confuses me is that I don't know if I'm fired or not.

				| I would have rather gone to the beach than some stupid DJ show in Seoul. And, to the poster that suggested going to the embassy...how would that help this situation? | |

				| What a retard. He outwitted you chum. Grow up and get your act together. Focus on the locus. You just might have to swim back to England. Maybe, though, you can play with one of those panzy soccer teams there...or could it be that you might skip out on a business social with them too? Get a real job...move to OZ or Canada. Sweep the beach or the snow of kimchee (!); of course, with your best sparkly "DJ" sunglasses on. Good luck.
