I'm very curious. What is the low down on these public school after-school programs. The person that contacted me about one couldn't give me a straight answer as to what kind of employee that you actually are.

I asked under what governmental juristiction that you fall by being employed by a public school in this respect (SMOE, EPIK, GEPIK). I didn't get a direct enough answer.

I'm hoping that there are some of you here that work in these programs that can give some insight. Thanks!

You are most likely employed by a middle Korean agency who contracts to get teachers for some Seoul public school programs. The agency pays your salary after getting money off the school.
You are not from South Africa are you? I know of other South Africans getting offered these public school contracts that are not actually contracts to the school but to the agency.plus the teacher then has to pay the agency a fee out of their first pay!!

Thanks for the info. I'm not South African. I only spoke with a recruiter regarding the position. I have an interview with the principal of the school soon. I just want to cover all of my bases and be informed prior to the interview.
