It was so nice looking out my window this morning at the city and Seoul Tower and seeing all the snow. It is also interesting to watch Koreans drive in the snow and ice. Laughing Very Happy Rolling Eyes

Yep, the traffic was chaotic- saw an accident victim within 10 seconds of leaving my door. It was jams all the way to work as well, and the hagwon opened 40 mins late... totally unprepared...

I was so excited when i saw the snow this morning! First time in my life that I saw it snow. Was a bit disapointed though, as it was quite wet. I expected beautiful crystals, etc, to fall, and not be just like frozen rain. I guess thats what comes from having an over-active imagination. Was cool to be able to walk out my door, and see the snow, back home it's a 5 hour drive to see the snow.

Yay for my first white christmas!

My dear girl- snow falls in lotsa different ways- I like big fluffy flakes myself. I love to go out and take a walk when it's snowing like that. They taste better too (I don't reccomend trying it in Seoul)

Speaking as someone who just got woken up by a snowplow and has to deal with 20-30cm tommorrow morning- frozen rain is beautiful but the absolute worst once you go outside. Mad

As that's what's currently falling now, I'll try to get some pics for you in the morning ( it's 3:00 am- jet lag sucks) Ice coated trees are stunning, people falling down icy steps are not. I expect to see lots of both.

Nothing here in th deep south of Korea, but it did snow a little on Saturday night. In Korea you are supposed to meet your lover, as in stop whatever you are doing and run to the appointed meeting place, usually some romanitic cofee shop where you can watch it snow. As the first snow happened on a saturday night in Gwangju, (it didn't stick in fact didn't even snow enough to stick) most people only partied with a bit more cheer than before.

My little horse must think it q.u.e.e.r.
To stop without a farmhouse near
He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake

something something something,
of sweeping wind and downy flake?

is that how it goes? Confused

I am feeling rather waggish today.

Anyway, I like snow. That's my point. Sort of.

The Korean drivers don't bother me as much as the pedestrians here. There are bad drivers EVERYWHERE.
The pedestrians were much more cautious today. Most of them stayed on the sidewalks and some actually looked before they crossed, and hurried a bit to stay clear of the sliding cars. The potential IS there.

The kids were going haywire in my parking lot when I got home and that's cool with me...when it snows. Just wish they could calm down a bit when all is clear.
