Why do these groups of people always have to try to convert you to their line of thinking?

We get it. You're smarter than us because you don't eat meat, because you don't believe in God, or because your iPod is so cool.

Just do me a favor: Shut the hell up about it.

You're an atheist? Cool. Still don't see why you feel the need to bring it up in a thread about frozen ravioli. You complain about people always trying to convert you, but you do the exact same thing!

Speaking of frozen ravioli... Yes, I did know that tofu ravioli exists. No, it doesn't taste just like real beef ravioli, and how do you know it does if you don't eat meat?

You own a Mac. Sweet. I own a PC. Yes, I know yours is hipper, cooler, and great for all of your "art projects." You're still a tool.

JW's and Mormons: No, I don't want to read your literature at the train station. Take it away.

You don't hear from the atheists and iPod owners who keep their mouths shut, just like you don't hear from Christians who keep their mouths shut. There's nothing special about most groups you mentioned.

JWs and Mormons, well....yeah.

I don't know... Every time I see someone with a Mac, they have to tell me about all of the great art they can make with it. It's like their significant other. They pull it out and say, "This is my Mac."

I think that vegetarians are the worst out of that group, though. All you have to do is mention "dinner" if you want to get a lecture.

Hint. Don't click on threads about religion or science

Mac owners are incredibly insecure. Sort of like Canadians.

As for vegetarians--I used to be a vegetarian so I agree and disagree with you at the same time. I almost never told people I was vegetarian, they didn't need to know. All of my exes said I was the easiest vegetarian to eat with because I didn't talk about it. But most of my vegetarian friends were assholes about it.

Yippee, I'm the worst of the worst!

Can I get some sort of reprieve since, along with being a Mac user, I also use Windows machines (lots of 'em)? ... and am not an iPod owner, nor am I the proselytising, "me-so-noble" type of vegetarian? Hell, I'll even eat meat when the social situation calls for it; I'm all about the selfish, heathy, feel-good aspect of that dietary decision, not the ethical/moral/save-the-furry-animals-and-the-world aspect.

God, I just love the broad-brushed blanket condemnations and mad stereotyping on this thread! No, no -- I mean I really do love it. Do it all the time myself, great kicks! But then when I'm the target, suddenly it's not so much fun anymore. "He can dish it out but he can't take it", that's me! Wink But honestly, while I wouldn't describe myself as a towering figure of exuberant self-assuredness -- and I do know the Mac platform attracts an undue number of wild-eyed zealots who must SURELY be overcompensating for something -- my relationship with that brand of computer/OS is no deeper than my relationship with a brand of paint. I just don't identify myself with brands. Whatever my insecurities may be -- and who doesn't have something or another they wished they had or were better at? -- they don't relate to the Mac or computing.

I run a mac, own about four dozen ipods, eat no meat, love Jehovah and Joseph Smith equally, and am completely athiest, and I find your thread offensive, good sir OP. I'm coming to your house to savage your PC and then beat you to death an assembled bundle of my favorite religious tracts, all of which are certified organic and meat-free, while wearing my magic Mormon underpants, which are of course blessed and approved by my Church.
But no, it's not because I want to convert you to my side: it's because you've offended me, and I want to convert you to organic material to fertilize my garden with.
I am also Canadian.

Go here, download spybt SD, never have that problem again.

There are various problems with MACs too.

If people just ignored the things that irritate them instead of venting, this site would not exist. I kind figured that was the only reason Dave's exists.
