I've been told to attend soccer practice with the male teachers today. Is this kind of thing normal and expected, and does it matter that I suck at playing soccer?

Yes. I've had to play volleyball, kickball, badminton, basketball, bowling, baseball, and ping pong with my teachers.

The best place to go is in goal or better still stay in defence. You'll not be found out in that case!

Tell them that you've a bad knee and your doctor has told you not to do any sports for the foreseeable future.
