Would it be considered rude to take a baseball bat or other blunt instrument and cause some physical damage to the car and/or the dumb frick who keeps setting of the alarm of said car at 2am?

That depends whether you're older or younger than said owner of the vehicle.

Why not just key it or leave dangling the side mirrors. Can anyone see you do it?
When the owner sees the damage he might decide to move it somewhere safer.

Perhaps it's better to leave a note on the windscreen.

Here's a prank my friends and I used to pull when we were in high school. We only did this to people we had it out for, like police, teachers, bad neighbors... Salt and pepper shakers, you know the gray and white pastic ones you can find at McDonalds, shoved into the crevice between the rear of the tires and the pavement. When the driver backs the car up, he/she will hear loud cracking pop noises and althought it wouldn't stop the alarm from going off, it would be funny to watch them excitedly jump out of the car and run around, if you were 17 years old od course.

Go out and buy some brake fluid. Dot 3 or 4 but not Dot 5. Get the 3 it's cheaper. Then pour the brake fluid all over the paint work.
Do this at night, you'll love the results when you see the car in the morning.
Make sure there are no security cameras around.

I prefer to mix it around 50/50 with white paint and the dot it about the car. Looks like bird shit until the owner tries cleaning it Razz

I think you should either A: Get noise cancelling headphones, or B: Shoot, shovel, shut up.

Pause while walking by the drivers door, and squirt the lock full of crazy glue. Just give it a good push in, and one good squeeze. 840 won a bottle.
Or...
Run a fast bead along the bottom of the window where it meets the rubber frame. Do all four windows. It's invisible, and the windows are impossible to open. 840 won a bottle.
Drop the bottle in a plastic bag right away because it wil stick to you hand. Ditch the bottle far away cause your prints are on it forever.
Or...
Pour fish sauce in the engine vent near the windshield.

Brake Fluid for those not in the know is VERY corrosive, eats paint like there's no tommorow, and makes metals rust like crazy.
Another good one is chuck a cigarette lighter full of fluid down the exhaust. making sure it goes into the muffler. This one is particularly evil, the more lighters the better.

Goldmember, what do the lighters in the exhaust do?

Every couple of months ther are cars out front with an over-sensitive alarm.
One night, a car wouldn't stop going off because of the rain.
I was very tempted to do some damage to it, but thought the better as I didn't want to get caught.

Friggin' hate car alarms because they don't prevent theft. They just annoy the hell out of people.
Mostly, if a car alarm is going off, people in the area hope your car is being stolen or damaged because you are just annoying them!
