Sorry to Spliff you, but I just got a brand new HV30 for 650,000 so you may want to adjust that price, though yours does come with an extra battery and wide angle lens. Still, 550,000 for an HD camcorder isn't bad.

Are instructions in English included? Could I plug it in when I get back to the States (with a plug adapter, of course)?

B&H Photo Video http://www.bhphotovideo.com/

Check out this forum for all the latest pricing information for both the hv20 and 30 http://www.hv20.com/

B&H was giving $200 off their normal price of $849 with an electronic code

Just check out used prices for HV cameras on EBAY. B&H has a wait period of up to 1 month (after ordered), and it cost 150,000 to fedex to korea and the n 15% tax once it enters korea.

Or you pay 30,000won to send it to an APO (provided you know someone in the military) and skip out on all the taxes.

B&H is on the list of sellers to avoid. 1 month wait and NOT legal models (grey market goods void of warrenty). I asked xCustomx to include all the facts when comenting. He avoided all the info (and the facts). Check mate.

Comparing prices in the US and here is like apples and oranges.
With the battery pack and the lens, this is a decent deal.

I've included all the information about how I got that price, so nothing was hidden. It's funny that you are also digging for any negative reviews about B&H. It's common knowledge in photo and video circles that they are one of the most reputable places to buy equipment. If you don't believe me, check out their reseller rating: http://www.resellerratings.com/store/B_H_Photo_Video_Pro_Audio

9.7/10 for the last 6 months, 9.43/10 lifetime rating with more than 4,000 reviews. You're crazy to think they carry grey market items and are on some supposed "list" of seller to avoid.

I said in my first post that 550,000 for an HD camcorder with extra battery and wide angle lens was still a good price.

Just a couple of questions on the HV10 if you still have it? How old is it? And what format is the video, NTSC or PAL ?
Cheers.
