2 weeks vacation and the opportunity to work at the campus coffee shop.
not to mention "full staff support." must be amazing when the "fact that you have coworkers" is one of the job benefits.
1. 18 hours a week
2. 2.10 million won to start ( negotiable depending on qualifications)
3. teaching university & elementary school students and adults.
4. two weeks' paid vacation (twice a year)
5. vacation bonus(200,000 won) and other attractive incentives (maximum 400,000 won twice a year)
6. opportunities to work at English Cafe at pknu campus
7. opportunities available to teach on our winter and summer programs
8. professional environment
9. on-campus housing provided.
10. full staff support |

Hey, give it some credit. Two weeks vacation TWICE A YEAR. Wouldn't it be cool to work at the cafe? It would be just like KUPI PEU-REEN-SEU.

Don't take point 10 seriously. This is Korea you know. Support in their mind is "teach now and here is the book, now go". Then you sink or swim. |

Link? I'd like to see the original.
Also, I wonder if any universities know we're mocking their bad job offers. |

Not university, but unigwon. No thanks!

1. 18 hours a week
Fine
2. 2.10 million won to start ( negotiable depending on qualifications)
No thanks. The average hagwon worker gets more
3. teaching university & elementary school students and adults.
So that'll be split shifts then
4. two weeks' paid vacation (twice a year)
Crap by uni standards, though becoming more common
5. vacation bonus(200,000 won) and other attractive incentives (maximum 400,000 won twice a year)
Given point 2, so what!
6. opportunities to work at English Cafe at pknu campus
Sounds dubious
7. opportunities available to teach on our winter and summer programs
As above
8. professional environment
Well, it's a uni, of course they're gonna say that
9. on-campus housing provided.
Fully furnished faculty apartments, or run-down sub-standard dorm rooms ( that students would refuse to live in), specially converted for FTs
10. full staff support
Big deal |

Didn't any of you lot think that the English cafe could be a regular meeting place for students to use English, and not an actual coffee shop like Stabucks!!
Some ads are silly, but come on...people...think... |

I've known several people who have worked at the PKNU Institute. It's not terrible. The location is pretty good so you will have an "opportunity" for a pretty decent social life. I think most of the crew re-signed from last year. You could definitely do worse.
Just watch out for 'Dragon Lady'! There is a particulalrly mean-spirited administrator there who has mistreated many foreigners over the years. She is infamous throughout Busan. |

Yonsei is hiring. Saw the as in today's Herald. Low hours, pay probably starts at ballpark 2.5-3.0, and you'll get fully paid summer/winter vacations.
Minimum qualifications = MA plus one year of university experience. Most of the people shortlisted will have far more. |
