South Korea bans US pedophiles from entering country

South Korea has banned 21 Americans convicted of sex crimes against children from entering the country.

South Korea's Justice Ministry says the measure is aimed at protecting Korean youths from sexual violence involving foreigners.
It said some American pedophiles have worked as English teachers in South Korea.

The ministry says it took the measure after U.S. authorities provided a list of convicted pedophiles who have a high probability of travel to Asia.
A ministry statement Thursday said it is the first time South Korea has imposed an entry ban on foreign pedophiles.

A Canadian suspected pedophile worked at South Korean schools for several years before being arrested in Thailand in October following a global manhunt.

Yea but were said pedos actually wanting to get into the country?, or were these people banned on the 1 in 10000000000000000 chance that they might have been lured to Korea by a Korea "Sparkling" ad.

So is Seoul admitting they didn't give a@#$%about pedo's coming in before? You'd think it would go without saying that you wouldn't let convicted sex offenders come to your nation to teach children.

Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

This is just hilarious. Let me just say that paedophiles aren't funny - they're monsters.

What I mean is the way the Korean authorities have been/are dealing with the issue. Just shows they have a way to go before becoming a first world country.

Total *&%$# incompetence.

Korea will still allow Korean pedophiles to get off scott-free, as what happened last year when a step-father served no time for touching his young teenage step-daughters breast when he climbed in her bed. The judge ruled that was a "show of affection."

Or the men earlier this year who were caught running a noraebang with teenage prostitutes. Not only did they pimp these girls, they forced them to be prostitutes. The men had been jailed for doing this once before, but were out of prison in less than six months for FORCING YOUNG TEENAGE GIRLS TO BE PROSTITUTES IN A NORAEBANG.

But yeah, the foreigners...

You want them living in your neighbourhood? NIMBY! Let them go to Timbuktu if the Malians will have them.

If 21 convicted child-molesting Canadians wish to move overseas I'm sure the Canadian government aren't going to stop them from doing it, as long as they they have served their sentence in jail.

Nice to see spliff get tough with the pedophiles though.

It is to be understood that the emotional and psychological trauma suffered by Korean victims is far worse when the perpetrator is a foreigner. Plus the ickiness and "ewww!" factors are off the charts.

When the average Korean cares....then things will change. But like in America...if it doesn't affect me personally...who cares.

The U.S. keeps such a lengthy list and has so much available public information on their pedos.

I'm not so sure other countries keep track of their pedos to the same degree to even have info available that they would give to the South Korean government or any other government for that matter.

UK as well.

A nonce can't move house without telling the police. It then goes on a public record that can be checked by anybody to see where they are living.
