i was told by the boss at another school i might work at that i could order this online, have it mailed to my mom, who would then mail it to me. when it gets here, i'd be able to notarize it at the u.s. embassy.

anyone done this... from california. looked all over the place online and didn't find what i was looking for.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

I looked into this myself recently.
You can't get an online CBC from the State of California. They don't offer the online option. Some states do. Calfornia does not.

I live in Washington State, and I can tell you that it is possible here. You pay $10.00, print it out, fax it to the Washington State Patrol, and they notarize it and mail it back to you. Then you mail it to the Secretary of State in Washington, pay $15.00 (or something close to that), they notarize it, and then they mail it back to you in your own return envelope that you give them. Whether or not this is accepted in Korea, I don't know, but I'm going to try it.
