|
|
Hi there. I want to get a TEFL certificate. I wanted to get a CELTA, or basically, whichever one is best... without a care for how much money I am spending... but that probably isn't possible due to time contstraints. Does anyone have a good online place you can suggest? I want a place that is very recongnized, and good... Any suggestions? I've been teaching for 3 years, and know I don't really 'need' one personally, but I might need it to fullfill a requirement for a new job...... since they are very strict.
Any good advice? |

I used KEI for my 100 hour certificate. I completed it in 2 weeks. |

I'm pretty sure that neither CELTA or TESOL do online programmes. There may be courses using the same acronyms, but they won't be accredited by either Cambridge or Trinity College London. |

I'll take a contrarian point of view and suggest that the 'best' (on-line) certificate is the one from which you learned the most.
I remember reading once about a Harvard Professor in the Cell Biology Department, I think, by the name of Bill Gelbart, who earned his BS from the City College of New York and went on to become a professor at Harvard. There's a lesson we tend to forget; It's not always about where you 'went', but how much you learned from where you 'went,' and how much fight there is in the dog. IMHO. |
