Hi All,

Anyone have information about cabins in Gangwondo?

I'm trying to come up with a long weekend plan at the last minute. I'd love a cabin with a fire.

There's a few sites about 5/6 kilometers south of Wonju on highway 5. There's plenty of signs posted but almost impossible to reach without your own mode of transportation. I use the word "cabin" loosely and I'm pretty sure fires are a no-no, but those little gas ranges'r fine. It's a nice little stretch of road, with a large moutain (Chiak) on the east and a small stream southward to chill your feet in. There's a few swimming holes I like to go to during the summer there. Not sure of the costs....

Thanks. That sounds like an option.

I really have my heart set on a fire or at least a BBQ. I don't know if I'll be able to find it.
