It's 02:00pm and I can't sleep.

Back home I had a number of keys; car, home, work vehicles, keys to the office etc, but out here in Korea I only have one, my apartment key.

Having so few keys makes me feel unimportant and worthless. So, how many keys do you have?

Right, that's it. Now I can sleep.

You're not worthless based on number of keys.
You're just adapting to the simple utilitarian lifestyle.

I often find random single keys on the street or walking paths.
You could collect those. Or get yourself a scooter.

Get a car.
Get a job where they allow you the key to your office.

Seriously, one key to your house? I have three: the door lock, the door deadbolt, and the front door to the building (locked only when the partying gets really wild on the street...oh, and I have to go lock it to keep out the Saturday-morning missionaries.)

I have 2 keys for my apartment. If I lose them, and they're always together, I'll just bang down the door, rip open the security bars, etc.

No big deal.

I am waaayyy down on the Ladder of Importance. I have no keys. I don't drive, I have no office, and my door has an electronic lock.

I tip my hat to you Sir.

It's almost as if I've reverted to being a teenager again. In addition to having no keys, I don't even have a car. But that's not all. My driver's liscense expired about a year ago so I don't even have that. In about 15 minutes I'm going to the airport and flying to Canada where I'll be staying in my old room at my mom's house. For the next 4 weeks I'm going to be bumming rides from my mom so I can go see my old highschool friends, coming home drunk and hoping to hell I don't wake her.

I've come full circle! Laughing

One of my kindy students locked the door to the bathroom from the inside and then closed the door locking everyone out of the can. He thought it was no big deal because he had a key. At first I thought he was pretty cool because he was so young and had a key. Then, I realized that the key was for a cabinet or something and not the bathroom. Man I had to poo.
