Hey I may be a fool and a tool (very poetic that), BUT
at least I've had the self discipline to eat well and exercise. Never been overweight in my life, and although I don't have a lot of dignity (I am in Korea after all), I've never engaged in sexercise with a fatty.

Anyway all this advise business is all bollocks, the human body is naturally lean. Do you see fat people in the Amazon or the New Guines Highlands, NO! It's really a very simple formula that doesn't require any effort.
1. Be active, it's a natural state for people, look at kids,-running around all the time.
2. Be like a tribesman , prepare your OWN food, (can't hunt it) buying eat, cooking it, cleaning up after burns calories. Ordering at Mickey D's burns zero.

So go ahead call me a tool fool, oh no musn't offend the overweight person who is overweight due to laziness, lack of discipline, and downright stupidity.
You may not like hearing this but the key to weight loss is not pills, but becoming more disciplined and smarter.
What's there to respect about an undisciplined, glutonous person.
Guess what? People don't respect fat people, the only difference is I say so.
Why are you people wanting to lose weight because you know being overweight is undersirable.
Just like dope heads, and pedos give whiteys a bad rap, in Korea so do fat people.
Your lettin the team down, sounds mean but you should do your weight losing BEFORE coming to Korea.

What about stupid people, ugly people, insensitive people, racist people, insincere people, dishonest people, are they more desirable than fat people?

I think there are worse things to be than overweight just personally.

your list of other "undesirable" characteristic is interesting, but perhaps you forget that for fornification purposes they are irrelevant, except for your second adjective which is loosely tied in with being overweight.

Mr Union Jack underwear may be more blunt and perhaps uncouth than some would like, but frankly, everything he says is pretty much 100% correct.

Not for everybody they're not. There has to be some substance behind the facade.....at least for me.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that being overweight is undesirable. That's why there are people here discussing effective ways to lose weight.

your weighing in with "go back to your dunkin' donuts" is simply uncalled for and offensive, whatever your opinion of overweight people is. I'm not even overweight, but couldn't believe how rude that was... Keep your rude comments to yourself.

Through a combination of healthful eating and exercise, create a calorie deficit in your diet. You will lose weight.

It IS that easy.

This thread is old and dead. But I am wondering if anyone has any information on getting mesotherapy, HPL, or something similar here for cheap. I am obviously aware it's not all FDA approved, a fad, and maybe not so healthy, but I also don't care.

I've completely changed my lifestyle here in korea, I exercise regularly, I eat healthy and I am losing weight very slowly, mostly because I'm gaining muscle at the same time. Inches are coming off though.

But I also want to try something else to help speed up the process if possible while I continue to exercise etc. There have to be some people out there that I have tried it and have information on the cheaper places to go. I'm guessing they'd be in Apgujeong aka plastic city.

Anyway anyone have any knowledge on this? Thanks.

Try cutting as much rice out of your diet as possible, especially the white kind. There's essentially no nutritional value and I seem to gain weight every time I have it, more so than other carbs.

In my intense dieting days I used to take an hour and a half walk in the morning and then skip dinner. Lost about 45 pounds doing that for 4 months. Fortunately 8 months later I've only yoyo-ed back about 3-4 of those pounds. I'd say that's pretty good. I find that weight loss is easier to maintain once A LOT of it's gone.

Wow! Congrats! Did you eat a big breakfast and lunch, or what? I'm never hungry in the morning, but at night, I get shaky and dizzy if I haven't eaten something (or just ate snacks)... Do you think a light dinner would be okay with your plan? Did you have a set amount of calories? Thanks!!

What Korean foods do you eat without rice? I frickin love bibimbap but the amount of white rice scares me. It seems like almost every Korean dish involves rice (or noodles, which I assume are just as bad, carbs-wise). It really sucks because I enjoy Korean food, but want to lose a few pounds. Not sure which ones are good for losing weight. Any suggestions?

Cook the korean food at home. it is all easy to prepare, healthier and cheaper. Use brown or black rice as a substitute and you are good to go.

MODERATION.

30 mins moderate intensity exercise 4 times a week - yoga / circuit / swim / jump rope / walk.

Moderation in diet and booze consumption. Lower stress.

Bingo.
