|
|
if any of the forum experts can please advise,
do i need to exit the country (japan visa run) in order to renew contract with hogwan? or is this not necessary?
things i'm pretty sure that i understand correctly:
1) i don't need to attend interview at korean embassy
2) i do need to provide a new health check and apostille criminal check
thanks for any answers

An EXTENSION of your stay (to continue work at the SAME employer) is a quick and easy process. It takes about 30 minutes at the immigration office and DOES NOT require a trip out of the country or embassy interview.
You will need:
1. Visa Extension Application
2. Passport and your Alien Registration Card
3. New contract with end date clearly marked - extension will be until that date (so look on the calendar and make it on a weekend so you don't need to leave on your last day of work).
4. Sponsorship Certificate (from school)
5. A copy of Certificate of School / Business Registration (from school)
6. Processing Fee
7. New Criminal Record Certificate, apostillized or notarized by your embassy in Korea
8. New Health Check Certificate

And make sure you get a decent raise and resigning bonus. |
