my brother went to Eton,and fagging still happens...its not as bad as one might think.
It really is about preparing one for social responsibility,dealing with staff etc,for later life
(many captains of industry, prime ministers,politicians pass thu Eton)

'dogging' is pulling into a lay-by,service area,field, any remote spot with the intent to have sex with random people you meet there.
You flash your lights to signal your sexual preferences and availability.

Althought the irony is not lost on me , where I went to school in South Africa it was a private school that carried all english school traditions. When Iin standard 6 (grade 8?) I had a "fag master" and i was his "fag". You basically had to run around doing his chores and being victim to his practical jokes/beatinsgs. They grew us up tough...you were made very sure of your place in the scheme of things and of your overall individual lack of importance. I think in my school it was pretty normal to be beaten about 3 or 4 times a week from different older boys/teachers , with cricket bats/hockey sticks etc. And it was taboo to ever complain about it....you were measured as a man by how you put up and shut up. It was a right of passage in which basically all beat out all the sense of selfish entitlment you may have brought into high school with you and let you know it was time to stop being a child and "man up". This is still very much the South African private school education system....and that's why unlike so many "liberal" countries you will still find our kids for the most part polite , responsible and respectful.

In the States we have "fag-hags", or chicks who hang all over gays. I'm not sure if they do laundry and sh*t for their gay friends or not.
