Usually my imagination goes a bit wild at the gym probably because it's such a boring, mundane experience. I've given most of the Korean's nicknames based on how they act. Although there's plenty of guys in my gym who'd crush my head like a walnut if it came down to some kind of high-octane ultra fight.
I've always thought it'd be funny to use that fat wiggling machine on a completely pointless part of my body like my finger, or my head just to see if there were any raised eyebrows. |

hehehe!! you should try!
i do the same, the gym is boring so i make up stories for the koreans using it.... and sometimes i see the occasional foreigner, too. i noticed most koreans go to the gym late at night (between 10pm and 12am), unlike at home where the gym was packed at 6-7pm. |

bunch of gimps in my gym tbf, all following me around wanting to work out beside me so they can practice their english. plus the copper who owns the place with his friends like to show me how to properly do the stuff- which mainly involves bumping my weight down, as they dont like the idea of a taller white bloke being stronger than korean sissy men.
thank god for the ipod, that way i can ignore any knob jocky, the belt massager actually feels good after a workout, that said i doubt it does any good, typical dumb ass koreans like it. iv seen the upside down thing, very strange. Anyone ever seen a rowing machine in a gym here? Thats something i miss using. |

| I miss the rowing machines too. The now-belly up California Fitness chain had them, but I've never seen them elsewhere in Korea. There's a company which rents them out but I haven't seen them advertising lately- they used to in the Korea Times Classified section. I cut one of them out though and whenever I can justify the high rental fee they must charge I'll give them a call and find out. |

| Actually, a good 10 seconds on the belt is perfect after lifting. Loosens ya up. |

I finally tried the belt massager today on my stomach and now, hours later, I feel kinda sore.
Everyone at the gym always uses them at the end of a workout but if you're using them to supposedly loosen up fat, wouldn't it stand to reason that you should use them before a workout so you can burn it off during the exercise? |

| Hmm, I stretch at home about 15 min. I walk 15 seconds to my gym so I'm still pretty warmed up. |

| Okay, maybe it's just my gym but no one stretches! What's up with that? They just use the belt massager, which, as far as I'm concerned just flaps their fat around. Is this a fairly universal thing for Koreans or it just my gym? |
Stretching after exercise makes you hairy. |
