So, I'm goin back home, and I was wondering can I just change the plug to a north american plug on my portable HD, or do I need a transformer?
i dont want it to fry on me.. |

The problem, IF it was bought in Korea AND you are returning to Canada is that the power in Canada is 1/2 the voltage that it is here.
It will be under powered. It won't work. You need to either:
a) get an electrician to wire in a 220v circuit (like your stove) or
b) get a new external case with a 110v power supply. |

it was bought in korea, but on the plug it says the volt in is 100-240 V
max at 50-60HZ.
so shouldnt it work in the states as well? I just dont want it to fry on me, and not be able to use it... |

It should be fine then.. appears to be dual voltage.. .. in that case all you need is the end (plug). They are cheaper here than in N.A |
