Impressive!
But...do you think it's real...? I guess I'm cynical when it comes to surfers but I suspect it's a very clever trick.

If real...then very impressive....if fake...well...looks real and what a crazy stunt.

Looking at the video you can see a boat wake in front of the shark. Go around 55secs in you'll this very obvious white water. It's filmed carefully so that you don't see the boat in front. You don't see the direction the shark is going.

Also are the other surfers stoned? They just sit their in the water as a shark goes by. I'm sure normal surfers would not appreciate inshore shark baiting.

It also takes an unusual path following parallel to the beach, but at the end the surfer is pulled towards the beach before he throws away his fishing pole. Did the shark swim on to land and beach itself(1min)?

I think it was a fake, and a damn good one--a submerged float with a dorsal fin on top, being towed by an off-camera jetski.

However...I forsee people actually TRYING this, kinda like the kids trying to do the stuff they saw on 'Jackass,' and dying. Haha, silly rabbits, tricks are for vids.

I too believe it is fake but if not, all involved should go to jail. Pretty stupid to lure sharks that close to a recreational beach using huge hunks of meat. Sharks should get 1 free bite off the dude.

yeah i agree its fake. For one sharks dont tend to stay on the top of the water like that unless there sunning and when taking any type of food they rip and dive and thrash about....not the extremely smooth action that enabled him to surf. That shark would be fucking huge judging by the size of the dorsal fin...theres no way thats real.. but cool video haha

Expensive as well haha, saying goodbye to a rod every time you catch a ride.

Ive caught sharks and i surf, its definitely bs

Fake, definitely. I think judging by the huge dorsal fin you would have seen some of the shark's tail fin thrashing about as well. And those other surfers didn't seem to be too concerned about GETTING THE HELL OUTTA THERE!!!!!!!!!!!! Haven't they seen Jaws for cripes sake???

Inclined to think it's fake just because it's so implausible. Reasons given in this thread to prove it's fake don't seem very strong though.

I think it's fake, but well done and worth the time to watch twice.
