Hi all.

my Public school contract is up in Sept. I currently have an AWESOME pt job at a haggie in the evenings that wants to keep me for as long as I'm in the country and give me more hours. With what they pay me, I will be able to work for them 2 hrs an evening 5 days a week, get a corporate gig or haggie gig in the mornings for 2 hrs 5 times a week and be earning 4 mil a month after taxes etc.

NOW - the pt haggie has said they WILL sponsor my E2 when my public school ft job is over as long as I pay any associated costs.

So my questions are -

1. What will the associated costs be? Obviously visa run and the 60,000 fee, but any others and how much....?

2. As I am not planning to go back to my home country (UK) when my public school gig is up - what am I going to have to do to get my new visa...? I already have criminal background check and can get a new one over the net for 40,000, no probs. AM I going to have to return back to the UK for anything....? I can get transcripts mailed to me, my diploma is already notarized....

3. ANY OTHER RELEVANT HELP OR INFO YOU CAN GIVE ME REGARDING THIS MATTER.

Thank you

The CRC must be less than 6 months old at the time you (your new sponsor) applies for the new visa confirmation number.
It must have an embassy notarization/affidavit from YOUR embassy in Korea OR an apostille.

You will need a medical BEFORE you get your new ARC and AFTER you enter Korea on your new visa.

You will need the rest of the usual documents for a new visa.
original documents or documents that have an apostille affixed to them.

You will have to make a visa run.

You do NOT have to return home or have a consular interview unless you do something foolish like overstay your visa (expiry date on your ARC).

Remember that you DO need the blessing and approval of immigration for any 2nd job you may take after you begin your new visa and BEFORE you begin work at the 2nd place AND the new job cannot require you to work more hours than your sponsor.
