Homeplus is buying Homever. This is good because Homeplus is great and Homever sucks.
Oh and someone on another thread said that Homeplus was a 50-50 venture between Tesco and Samsung. That's wrong, Tesco bought most of Samsung's share a while ago. Homeplus is 94% owned by Tesco now.

Great.
I hope more and more Tesco own-brand products find their way onto the shelves............ |

Homeplus is already big. Now it'll be huge. Like the Korean 'Walmart'.
Does anybody know how much clerks get paid in Homeplus and how it treats employees? |

How does the product inventory of Homeplus compare to E-Mart? The Homever near me is easy to get to, but yes, it sucks. The EMart is way better, but a pain to get to. |

The French owned Carrefour stores become Korean, and 2 years later they become British. I wonder if the 2.2 Billion price tag will count as foreign investment into Korea. |

I've enjoyed the vastly increased cereal range for the last two weeks. Weetabix are back, Cranberry wheeties, Strawberry oat crunch and the mixed grain cheerio type stuff |

I find Homeplus much better than E-Mart for the things I need. |

In my experience Homeplus is a little more expensive than Emart, but the quality is better. There is a list of all Homeplus stores on their home page, www.homeplus.co.kr but you need to be able to read Korean to find it. There is a Homplus in Suwon somewhere and one near the Yeongdengpo Station. |

Catch any of the buses going to Yongtong. There is a home plus there. From Suji / Yongin it would be the 720-?'s or one of the seat buses that go to Kyunghee university (5500's among others).

Good questions. I wish I had time to check this site out fully. I surfed on in to it looking for something else. Let us know what you think:
