I typed up my students' essays on the current beef import question because I think they give a broader view of public sentiment than one might be led to expect exists by reading the media and the threads here at Dave's.

They are posted under An Ajosshi's Story #86 here on the General Discussion Forum.

Warning: The posters who claim Koreans think and act like lemmings will not be pleased.

A person is sane and reasonable. People are retarded.

Sure one person might see the stupidity of the anti-U.S. beef campaign, but people act with mob mentality.

Note: This does not apply only to Koreans.

I missed those stories before and have been reading them this time. I read the first two pages, skipping those that are regurgitations of folk tales, and have enjoyed them.

Thanks

A kid gave me a Teacher's Day card today. On the front of it, it said all the usual stuff like "Happy Teacher's Day..." Then below, he drew this sickly looking cow and an arrow pointing to it with the word USA Cow, and several X's around the word USA.

Anyhow, I don't think it's the cows that are mad.....

This is getting to be of Dokdo proportions....
