That was entertaining enough, but his subsequent, pathetic, marble mouthed apologies were absolutely hilarious!
I also like EarthQuake the comedian. Michael Richards could learn how to use the word properly from the man. |

| Dylan Moran - you can download his stand-up DVD 'Monster' by torrent. Very, very funny, but I can't remember a single joke; it was all so funny. Bill Bailey's 'Part Troll' stand-up act was pretty funny too. They're together in a tv show called 'Black Books'. It's a hilarious show - you can download that by torrent also. |

What do you think about that guy who does Borat?
I saw him on Jay Leno's or Letterman. He was funny. |

That's Sacha Baron Cohen. I really liked him as Ali G - looking forward to seeing him as Borat (only seen a few clips so far).
I'd also go with Eddie Izzard and Billy Connelly. Harry Enfield also used to make me giggle rather. |

I forgot how funny Ali G is so I hit some clips up on youtube. Hilarious stuff as well.
Thanks for all the info on comedians that I've never seen, everybody. I had never heard of Bill Hicks or Dane Cook until now. And I'll definitely check out Eddie Izzard.
Personally, I think Dave Chapelle is my favorite followed by Chris Rock. |

He isn't?? When you see him on chat shows, and in interview situations he's not that spontaneous relying on his routine word for word. His shows always get a laugh from me though. |

I have to wonder what stumptown has seen of Izzard. Perhaps it all went over his head....?
One thing I have noticed though is that clips from his shows in the US don't seem as funny as the ones he's done in the UK. Perhaps he was simplifying things...or relying too much on US stereotypes of Brits... |

incorrect.
"hitler never played risk as a kid..."
his digressions are hilarious. i can't remember much of it but he keeps me in stitches - he has this magic ability to go off-topic for like 10 minutes and then shift right back into the original bit.
a very funny man. |

Lisa Lampenilli's standup is prett f&ckign funny.
A one trick pony and unsophisitcated, but made me laugh out loud none the less.
Sure it's been said, but Bill Hicks was a fantastic all round stand up; funny, witty, engaging, political, smart, crude....
"My friend said if I give up smoking I'll get my sense of smell back. I live in New york - why the hell would I want my sense of smell back?'
I think Woody Allen is a good comedian at times too, like he has his MOMENTS you know...? Some of his stand up is lame, but some parts of it blow you away....
"It's impossible to travel faster than the speed of light, and certainly undesirable as one's hat keeps blowing off....' |
