I'm sure this topic has been up there before I missed it. I'm a pretty casual gamer but I know what I like.
What is/are your best games you've played ? Simple as that.
If I take every game based on how much fun it gave me at the time , and how good it was based on the hardware available my list might look like this (although I might have screwed up the genres).
Adventure/action adventure : Another world , Shadow of the collosus / God of war 1 , Another world ,
RPG : Quest for glory (the first 3) , Oblivion , Diablo 2 , dark clouds 2 .
Point and click adventure : Monkey island (all of them) . Diskworld . KOTOR 1 .
Sandbox action : G.T.A San Andreas (the only game of the series I finished) , scarface : the world is yours .
Stategy : Rollercoaster tycoon 3 , sim city 1 , The incredible machine.
Action : first person shooter : Half life , duke nukem 3d , 007 series for playstation 2 , Ghost reckon (first one) , splinter cell (first one) , Metal gear solid 3 .
Ah the list could go on but I lost my motivation. So what games would you folk endorse ? |

At the moment it's all about Morrowind for me.
Played the game many many times, but with all the mods available it's pretty much endless. Now that I'm in Korea with an awesome dl speed I can dl all the huge mods & play those. Back home they were out of my reach...
Before that I was into Daggerfall & the rest of the Elder Scrolls series.
I loved Quest for Glory & Kings Quest back in the day.
I'm a big RPG fan. Lots of Indie games out there are fun to play too - usually pretty short & sweet though. |

Just played Quake 2 for old time's sakes. Fun stuff! I wonder if there's any retro ubergeeks still playing that online? Pretty fun back in the late 90s as I recall... |

Nope. My computer at home was rubbish & I hear it has pretty high requirements to run properly.
And I had an Xbox & was pissed off that I'd have had to buy an Xbox 360 to play it.
Have you? I've heard mixed reports on it. |

I can complete Streetfighter 2 Turbo with Ken with ony 100 won / 1 credit.
Still love the playability of that game.
I love the arcade console for MarioKart too but it's a bit of a b2stard that even if you come 1st in a race, you have to pay another credit to conitnue to the next roud.... jesus, talk about stingy.... and at 500 won a pop....! |

Action Adventure: Any game in the modern Prince of Persia series, Gears of War, GTA IV, Ninja Gaiden (for the Xbox...never thrown my controller more, but definitely the most satisfying completion in my 20 year gaming history)
Stealth Action: Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory or Double Agent
FPS: Bioshock (should have been 07 Game of the Year), COD 4
RPG: Mass Effect
Sports: Table Tennis, Virtua Tennis 3
Fighting: Virtua Figher 5
Music Action: Rock Band, Guitar Hero 2 and 3
Racing: Moto GP '06-'08...easily the most challenging racing games I've ever played
With the exception of the first mention (PoP), all can be found on the 360, some of them exclusively. |

I played alot of videogames when I was younger but these days im only interested in competitive fighting games. I play Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo, Street FIghter 3: Third Strike, Vampire Savior and Tekken. I guess I also play the dance games a little but thats definety slowing down. |
