Something that I miss from back home, Grand Designs.

There's a few episodes on the link above for those that enjoyed it back in the UK. Basically, the show follows people who are either renovating or building their own home from scratch. A rather tired format I know, but this is done really, really well. It runs on CH4 in the UK and is now in its 5th series. This'll probably sink straight to the bottom, but if you're stuck for something to watch, it's very interesting.

The Tuscany Castle one is good.

I agree. Best program on TV for Architecture nerds.

The concept of the program is really good BUT I can't stand the fecking upper class people on it and their 'oh, my husband has tons of cash so I'd thought I'd design and build this ridiculous house with his money...I have nothing better to do, and he's never here" "Yes terracotta spanish tiles for the bathroom and the furniture made specially by Belgian Griffins" "We thought little Toby needed his 'him space' so we decided to have a spiral staircase running from his room into his music room with the en suite, all decked out in Mexican butterfly slate, it matches his eyes you see" Some people on it have been beyond belief. But good program otherwise.

Let's balance it out with a council house version where Terry's thinking of putting up some batman curtains in little Beckham's bedroom. Or better still Angie is thinking of installing a cooker hood to catch the grease from the chip pan.

I adore the show as well. Recently, there have been a couple of substandard spinoffs called Grand Designs Today and Live or something like that.

I recently finished watching the eighth season- why don't you try downloading them as torrents?

This is a fantastic site for British-origin tv
