Came across this a bit earlier:

"He said he began collecting...24 years ago, when working as a school administrator, with little notion he would one day be running a museum devoted to the subject."
http://www.reuters.com/article/newsOne/idUSN1519887520080515

And it got me to wondering, know of any ESL teachers who've gone on to a similarly uplifting line of work? Have you? Or, have you at least started working towards a career in an unusual post-ESL field?

Seriously, I know a teacher who lived very simply and saved for 10 years to achieve his dream of starting an aviation-related business back at home in in the States.

I'm going to be a research scientist most likely. Thinking about working on curing aging.

I'm considering living in a van down by the river, but I'm not sure I'm qualified just yet. A few more years in Korea and I'll be perfect for the position.
