I never thought I'd see the day, but according to a Korean herald article, can't link to it though oddly enough, as they use a really archaic (Korean) form of web programming. However, the article is titled "Seoul Aims to Double Capital Inflow by 2012.
Buried at the bottom of the usual spiel about how Korea wants to attract more foreign investment --are some things they want to change to make life more bearable for foreigners living in Kimchistan.
"A new online indentification system for non-Korean national internet users...will be up and running by January..."

That would make a welcome change........will the netizens be happy???
At least in the future they might stop spewing their xenophobic shite, before realising that someone other than a Korean could read it. |

Anyone who's been in Korea long enough will remember that when they forcibly changed our alien ID numbers in 2001, the government promised then too that our new ones would work for online registration.
It was bullshit then and it's bullshit now. |

Ummm.. there are still some people that realize that there are people other than Koreans that can read what they say... they just don't realize that that means we know what they're saying... |
