Has anyone worked for this franchise? Is it in good standing or do they screw teachers? |

Tried a google search, this is all I came up with:
Quote: |
This is a very small school run by Kim Beong-Jin. It is not a successful business (mostly because the director is a moron!). When I left, I did not receive my last month's pay or my airfare/severence. PLEASE BE WARNED... His business is going under and he is currently looking to hire a new teacher: most likely via a recruiter as he cannot speak English. Do not accept any placement at this school! |
That's from 2003, might be outdated, check the Director's name. |

Is it the one in Cheongju City? If so, I met a Kiwi and two Canadians who worked there in Spring of 2007. They said to me that the place was a less than stellar one. It's also located in an area of Cheongju that is notoriously
racist.
The bottom line is: STAY AWAY FROM CHEONGJU CITY because it sucks ass and is full of anti-caucasians.
P.M. the poster known as Spliff - he'll back up my beliefs about Cheongju City.

i worked for the brainy english school part time when i was in daejeon in 06. it was owned by my other boss (who also owned kids college in daejeon..shady ass school). she was a nut job...the teachers at that brainy school...the ones that spoke english were friendly and helped out. the ones who taught math, spoke no english and basically just didnt say a word.
only worked there for about 2 months b/c a couple of my foreign co-workers quit at kc...so i had to go back there full time.
if its a franchise...any school can be good or bad...just depends on who's running it |

Thanks for your input to the thread.
We should find out if the poster is going to get thrown to the D.B.s down in Cheongju City.
Hello, hello, hello, is there anybody in there?

Why is one area notoriously racist? Not that I don't believe there are racist people there, but why are there a disproportionate number of racists there? |
