Have you noticed that when things are going well, religion is frowned upon or even suppressed?

If zombies jumped out of the ground, I can guarantee just about everyone surviving will cling to their immortal souls and a heavy, hard type of religion (like Catholic Spain in the 1500's) would come up....burning people and all.

You're right to a degree. I think it would cause extremes in people's predisposed beliefs. Science/atheist types aren't going to go God crazy, they're going to cling more fiercely to their opinions. Secular humanists will stay secular humanists, lapsed Catholics will unlapse, reform Jews might form back up, etc. I think most people during an outbreak would concentrate on survival first.

Also, if the world survives I predict that churches will be out. Too many people would die hold up in churches. Out door weddings won't be a vogue anymore, they'll be standard.

I agree, it's like Athens during its plague or Europe during the Middle Ages, people go one way or the other, super religious or super live for the moment . . . I guess it seperates the sheeps from the goats unlike normal times when most of us seem to be gheeps . . .
