Besides watch BSG multiple times.. posting here 20+ times a day you have time for anything else in your busy life? |
Ummm a job as a senior technical writer at a small funky software company? Setting up my funky apartment that's a 1 minute walk away from the Old Mill subway station (if that means anything to you). Without revealing much, I'll let you google on the pay scales of a senior technical writer. Feel the burn. *pat* *pat* *pat* I don't know if you fully appreciate this, but when you're looking for a senior position, you have cash in the bank to burn, you have in demand skills, you can take your time finding the right job.
So, ummm, hit me up 2 months after you get back to Canada for good and let me know what high paying senior position you've landed, okay? Maybe you'll be changing that avatar from "proud to be canadian" to "proud to be flipping burgers". And I got to point out, if the only thing you've got to be proud about is the patch of dirt some woman shat you out on, well, no wonder I make you feel small. Bahahahahahaha.
Any time you want to compare CVs, join up on linkedin.com, and I'll add you. I'll make you feel even smaller than I do now. *grin*
Sorry, chump.

Anyway, this weeks ep. Gaeta, however you spell his name, was singing. This seems an important point. Music (the opera house, the dylan song) seems to link the final five. And the hybrid prophecy about bringing death. I think it refers to Starbuck bringing real death to the cylons, not the humans. I think in Razor the hybrid didn't say she will lead humans to their doom but lead them to their end. Which can mean many things.
I didn't mention it last ep, but I was sort of sad that Gunny Mathais was killed. BSG has a great way of taking red shirts, playing them out over the seasons, making them into nice little minor characters, and then smoking them. They're just not red shirts that have two lines and then fade away via a camera trick in a phaser blast.
I liked the centurians sort of walking through the marines.
And helluva ending. "JUMP!" |

I, too, picked that up. It seems that the rebel faction sees this as liberation. Now they will be complete and have what humans have: mortality.
But, as far as the storyline's plausibility goes, why would the other Cylons not build another hub? They seem to have unlimited resources re: constructing baseships, etc. I think the producers need to explain this somewhere, how destroying this particular machinery inflicts a permanent loss/change. |

It's possible the hub is not technology of their invention. |

I couldn't figure that out: Natile seems like she's going to be pivotal this season so I doubt she's dead yet. I'm guessing that she's going to die just after the big G jumps into range of the rezz hub. Cue a Natile in the hub. |

Yeah we've seen this before. People get shot and then fixed up next ep by the doc. Humans saving the cylon rebel leader. Might play. |

Been binging on BSG for the last two weeks and finally up to speed.
Yes, I've watched everything from miniseries, seasons 1 thru 3, to Razor and season 4 episodes. Except for it dragging its heels a bit in Season 3, it's been fantastic.
Next episode in 3 days..... |

My office mate is a 24 year old York U grad. MA in philosophy. Very nice young woman. Anyway, I mentioned Battlestar Galactica.
"Oh I only saw the movie," she says.
"The 1970s movie or the 2003 TV mini series?"
"No no, the one with John Travolta from the 1990s."
Ummm. Errr. Thinks. Chilling realization.
"Sasheen! You're talking about Battlefield Earth! There is a world of difference between Battlefield Earth and Battlestar Galactrica. If you're going to make it in the software world, you're going to have to know the difference." |
