I know it's a long shot, but are there any pickers in the Daegu area looking to play some bluegrass/country/folk? I play mandolin, bass, and guitar. Let's get together and jam, and maybe start a band if we can.

There's a Bluegrass band in Daejeon named Pickerson Grinners and there used to be one in Busan called Kettle Mountain Social. The Busan outfit disbanded when the banjo player went back to Canada. Pickerson Grinners is a tight outfit with no need for new personnel, I think.

The rub is the banjo player. You can find guitar and bass players in any city in Korea. The banjo player is the tough one to find. You may want to consider taking up banjo yourself.

Hey,

I play guitar and harmonica, and would like to play acoustic music of any variety. In a rush right now, but will post or pm soon.

Cheers

Trevor, thanks for the info. I figured as much on the banjo situation. I plan on taking it up when I'm an old fart.

Mr. Freud, I look forward to hearing from you.

Anyone else?

My buddy, the Pickerson Grinners banjo and Dobro player, gave me their new CD last weekend. Nice tracks.
