I got this price for August. Tragically, it's for Air Canada. Fortunately, there might be a code-share with Korean Air.

Non-stop and during the PEAK summer holiday time in both countries... yes, it is pretty good and you are not likely to get much better. |

| Also, unlikely to be a code share with Korean Air more likely Asiana, but they do run Air Canada equipment on that flight. I have taken it before, it is better than having to stop in YVR. |

I just have a question, "Why are you flying into Toronto?"
You normally save WAY more flying into Buffalo, and then just make your way to Toronto which should be very easy.
Just make sure you check flights into Buffalo. |

With the horseshit and hassle that we usually get from the US customs and immigration service when coming from Asia, why would any Canuk in their right mind fly back home via Buffalo just to save a few bucks (especially if the school is required by contract to fly you home via the most direct flight)?
Even if he was paying for it, and after looking at pricing to the states in August, it certainly is NOT worth the hassle for the money saved, EVEN IF he was paying for it out of his own pocket.

This isn't really true when coming from Kroea because there are much more direct and one connection flights to TO than to BUF. Factor in the transport from BUF to YYZ, especially if you're bringing a lot of stuff, and it doesn't really work.
Normally I would agree with you, though. I've done the BUF thing many a time in North America. Detroit might be a better bet. But then you'd have to be in Detroit.
Also, to the OP. I got a direct return flight to TOR the second week of Sep (going into Chuseok here) for 1.36. But I guess that's right outside of peak season. Check AC's website, it's super cheap. |

I will be going with my Filipina wife and son. No way I'm going to try and organize visas for them just so I can cross the border.
And waiting in bus stations in North America is really unpleasant. Constantly being pestered for 'extra' cigarettes (i dont' smoke), spare change, etc while trying to herd and protect a dead tired family is not my idea of fun or responsible. Yes, I've been through the bus stations in Buffalo and detroit. Used the bus s few tiems after they stopped letting rental cars across the border. |
