Do you prefer to date native Korean men/women or Westernized Korean men/women (gyopos)? I personally prefer to date westernized Korean women because there is less language barrier. How about you?

gyopos, just because they're like american, same culture and cultural references and everything, same way of life . . . I think Korean-Americans are pretty different from Koreans, actually much more conservative, anybody else [with views on this]? . . .

neither, pretty much all girls are insane, unless they're ugly and have had too much alone time to think to themselves. but then even those ogres have intimacy issues.

Does this mean you are going back to guys again? Christian Reeducation camp didn't work? Twisted Evil

Seriously I would have to say I like Korean-Americans. Not because of the language issue but because of the culture issue. If I met a nice liberal Korean why not?

nice liberal Korean woman as in from Korea, right?

yeah, it's all about the cultural stuff . . . I'm not sure the liberal thing resolves everything, but it resolves a lot . . . it might also have to do with being sort of laid-back, just realizing people like to joke--sometimes Korean girls can be a little too serious . . . It's funny, though, cause Korean guys are always so light-hearted . . . I wonder if it's a Korean girl being around a white guy type thing that causes it . . . also, I'd always be suspicious the Korean girl (in contrast to a Gyopo) was jacking me for the free English lessons!!! . . . Laughing

Don't care. I speak Korean reasonably well, so language aint an issue nor is anything else other than nice legs, nice hair, good childbearing hips and, not least at all, the ability to tolerate the ass hole she's with.

I love the way this thread is based on the pretext that everyone only dates Koreans.

"Which do you prefer: Koreans from Korea or Koreans from western countries?"

Some one got a case of the feev?

Good point - I don't have a racial fetish. I find it's best to be open minded here and try not to limit your dating opportunities.

No more like a nice liberal Korean guy- I am not a rug muncher Twisted Evil

I have always played it sexually conservative whenever I am dating non-westerners and it has been a good strategy. Though Koreans are more likely to engage in pre marital sex now I just didn't want the hassle of being labeled a loose western woman.

I have lived in Korea long enough to get a feel for how things are done here and build up a thick skin. It's nice when your Korean squeeze is tolerant of your social faux pas and your frustration with the Korean way of doing things.

I found that most Korean-American men and women, especially women were overachievers before coming to Korea and therefore found themselves lowering themselves to fit the overall lower standard of intellect/standard amongst men and women (foreigners included) here in Korea.
