I've searched high and low in Itaewon and haven't seen any Rotel tomatoes (not that I really expected to mind you). So, I found a place in San Antonio that'll ship me a case of it (a case = 24 cans). I'm waiting for their final quote on the price but I'm expecting it to cost somewhere between 3000 and 5000 Won per can. Is anyone interested in buying in? |

At that price I seriously doubt it. But good luck anyhow. |

I'm not profiteering and will be happy to show anyone the invoice when I get it. |

I didn't mean to infer that you were attempting to "profiteer" You'd expect products that have to be shipped from that far away to be expensive. |

Rotel Tomatoes? They're a specialty food that you can normally only get in Texas and adjoining states. |

By the way, the cost comes out to 4250 Won per can if anyone is interested (just got an email from the supplier).
If you're really craving some Rotel dip, the price isn't all that bad. |

Dude, are you talking about Rotel tomatoes in a can?
Or are we talking green chilies?
Because if it's green chillies, I'll take ten cans.
If it's tomatoes....meh. |

No-ish, we get them in Florida too. Also, you can get Rotel-like cans (diced tomatoes, green chiles and spices) at HomEver.
The company is SW...the same that is sold in Costco (but with green chiles and spices). It's close enough to Rotel...
!shoosh,

I didn't realize it was only a Texas thing. We just made queso yesterday, I ended up eating it for lunch AND dinner. Tomorrow I'm going to the gym for 5 hours. |

Rotel is primarily a Texas thing, but is sometimes available in other areas. Generally speaking, the further you are from Texas, the harder it is to get.
Did you find Rotel (or equivalent) somewhere?
PS - Ah, nevermind - you're in Texas. |

Wait, what are using for the queso?
Hell if I ever see cheese dip in big velveta blocks.
I can make my own rotel with tomatoes and chili and a food processor. That's no biggie. I just never see the two pound hunks of cheese you get in the US via velveta or generic brands.
God, what would it cost in Korea? 15 dollars? |
