Who do you see who MIGHT run as an independent?

While complete unheard of in history, I could ALMOST see Hiliary running as one if she doesnt get the nomination. I wouldnt put it past her.

Ron Paul perhaps...

What you don't know could fill libraries. Don't be offended by my saying that because the truth is that what I don't know could also fill libraries.

However, I did have enough historical recollection to question your statement and figure out that it was probably inaccurate.

The United States Progressive Party of 1912 was a political party created in the United States by a split in the Republican Party in the presidential election of 1912. It was formed by Theodore Roosevelt when he lost the Republican nomination to Howard Taft and pulled his delegates out of the convention.

[Well, OK. He wasn't completely an "independent." He did get a party created to run as the candidate of. Very Happy Laughing Very Happy

I'm sure Hill would create some phoney baloney party if she decided to run.]

Naah, not happening. RP has already said no. Hillary as now knows that she can salvage a VP slot, if she wants it bad enough and if the cards are in her favor.

Just look at the field of independents and 3rd party candidates thus far.

Looks pretty crowded, especially in the Libertarian field.

Put your money where your mouth is. I'll put $50 to your favorite charity if she runs as an independent. If not, you owe $20 to the Red Cross.

I'd say it's highly unlikely she would run as an indi. I don't know that there are any other candidates out there other then Bloomberg that could pull it off. For the time being, Bloomberg has ruled it out. Though he's young enough it would be possible in 4 or 8 years from now depending on the circumstances.
