Anyone have any experince in mailing packages to Korea from Canada? I have some items that I want in korea but I'm not sure if I can fit everything with my lugauge. I'm asking about videogame systems in particular. Any help would be great. |

Have anything you want mailed sent to your work--that way it won't be left outside your apartment door.
Stuff the vid games system in your luggage for 2 reasons: things go missing all the time in mail to Korea--don't have valuable stuff mailed unless you're prepared to maybe kiss it goodbye, and if it's mailed to you you may have to pay duty on it if customs thinks it's a new system.
You could always leave it at home and buy a new system in Korea.
If you must bring it, I'd put it in your carry on, along with everything else that's important and which you don't want to lose to lost luggage--diploma, personal papers, etc etc. |

also be aware that the power systems here and there are different. You will probably need to find a voltage CONVERTER (not just an adapter) to use it or you will burn it out. |

If you live in an apartment complex, just put a note on your door to leave the package with the security guy in the basement (or wherever his office is). I come home from work, see the note on my door, and go down to get it. I've received 4 packages this way in the last 2 weeks. Post office and Taekbae guys, both. |
