|
|
Just to make all Paju area people know there is a new direct airport bus (Incheon) from Munsan, Geumcheon and Gyoha. Number #5600
(It does NOT go to Gimpo!)
For many the best route was through Ilsan or other means but this bus only deals with the Munsan Bus Terminal, Geumcheon Station, Gyoha Hyundai 1 Apartment, and Gyoha Triple Medical Tower (the bus stop across the street where the 2000, 700, 66, 83 etc. go)
It costs - from Paju to airport:
Munsan: w7,800
Geumcheon: w6,800
Gyoha Hyundai: w6,200
Gyoha TMT: w5,800
I think it is about w1500-2000 cheaper from the airport to Paju but don't quote me.
There are only 5 buses a day:
Munsan: 5:20/9:00/12:40/16:20/20:00
Geumcheon: 5:35/9:15/12:55/16:35/20:15
Gyoha Hyundai: 5:50/9:30/13:10/16:50/20:30
Gyoha Triple Med T: 6:00/9:40/13:20/17:00/20:40
Total travel time is roughly 50 min (Gyoha TMT) to an hour thirty (Munsan)pending on location.
I hope this helps people, makes a huge difference for me. Previously I used the #3300 from Ilsan....this is cheaper, much shorter ride, has luggage compartments and is a brand new shiny, beats all other options that I know of....

This is a wonderful bus to take. It is indeed brand new - so new, in fact, that the guy at the bus terminal in Munsan and the lady at the train station both didn't know of it.
At the airport, the information desk doesn't have the bus number (5600) listed on their printed card, but ask them to look it up in the computer and they will find it. Make sure you tell them the area of Paju to which you're headed, as I wasn't sure before arriving that I needed to say "Munsan Bus" rather than the generic "Paju Bus". The latter wouldn't have helped me get any info.
Since I arrived in Incheon airport in the middle of the night, I had to wait until 6:30am, when the bus starts from the airport. It comes to Stop 8A right in front of the airport doors. You can (and perhaps must) buy a ticket in advance at the bus ticket kiosk 10 feet away, but the kiosk didn't open till between 5:30am and 6:00am, closer to the latter.
To Munsan (the final and most expensive destination), the ticket will cost you exactly 8,000 won and take about 1.5 hours to get to the Munsan terminal. The Munsan terminal is the small one across the street from Baskin Robbins, where the municipal buses are also centralized.
------------
To add a tiny bit of info onto the OP, to get to Incheon from Munsan, you can just give the bus driver your money rather than buying a ticket from a counter. The bus departure times and relative ticket prices are also listed on a post directly in front of the convenience mart at the bus terminal in Munsan. |

Does anyone know if this bus runs on holidays?
And does anyone know the schedule from Incheon back to Paju?
Thanks,

Hi Twygee,
I took a picture of the bus times from Incheon to Munsan. Unfortunately, I don't know if the schedule is the same on Holidays, but, given that we're in Korea, I think it's a safe assumption.
You can find the schedule here. Sorry for the poor image quality - I snapped it using my Macbook ;)
Happy Traveling!
