I got my macbook white back in Sept. It worked all right until last night when it froze made these clicking sounds. Reading forums of similar cases, it seems like I have to call apple support. Get my machine repiared, meaning a new internal harddrive, and all my photos and documents gone forever. Glad I have things from March 1st and back saved on time machine.

Anyway, anyone in Korea have similar problems and where did you get it sent? or get it fixed? I have warranty but I'm not sure if it covers parts and labour.

I will try today doing stuff with the install disk and see if I can fix it. Im surely doomed.

There was a similar post about getting a Mac fixed a few weeks ago, with directions to a service centre in Yongsan. If the search function doesn't find it, you can Google it with the "site:forums.eslcafe.com/korea" filter.

I took my mac to the Yongsan service center and it was a pain in the arse because the directions on the site were terrible and they had obscure hours. The service was top notch their though. They are more then willing to help and speak decent enough english (the manager anyways). I said to myself that if I ever run into problems again I will take it to the COEX mall as its easy to find and it is open at night as I work daytime hours and like hell if they are about to give me an hour or 2 take my computer to get fixed.

Wow about two months ago I posted this. I relied on my old PC and finally called Applecare for service. They gave me a reference number and I took my computer Friday the 11th of July for sevice. This was in Gangnam across from the City Air Terminal COEX at the Apple Service Center UBASE. They got it fixed the following Wednesday. Works great and all.

My year old macbook started to crack along the side - starting at the small screw beside the USB ports and running around the corner to the front. Luckily I noticed it as my warrenty is up in August.

I took it to a place near Shinsa Station. It's the third one down on the 'Portable Products' section here. They are open 10-7 Monday ~ Friday, and 10-6 on Saturdays.

That said, I haven't picked it up yet....Just got the call it's fixed and ready to be picked up. Hopefully everything went alright!!
