So, I did a quick search for this and found a few things, but not specifically what I was looking for . . .
Last weekend I ended up in the Namdaemun underground market (got lost trying to find the damn subway). Anyhow, I saw some frames that I really liked. They were 20,000 won. Basically, there were a whole bunch of little eyeglass shops in a row.
Now, I don't really need a new prescription, and therefore don't really need an eye test. Would it be possible for me to just point out the frames I like, show them my current glasses, and get the correct lenses?
Do you think this can be done for less than 100,000 won? Or am I going to have to get an eye exam? Help?
Thanks,

Yes, they can take your prescription off of your current glasses.
No, you do not need an eye exam.
Eye exams are free (as in - it is included in the cost of the glasses - whether you take it or not is your choice.)
If the frames are 20k then the glasses (single vision) should be about 60-70k. |
