I thought they were pushy back home, but this place takes it to a whole new level. I can't even go jogging in the mornings in peace. I have had three ajumms stop me now when jogging to ask the typical crap questions...where are you from? 미국? Then they proceed to tell me where their church is located while I'm saying I'm sorry but I'm losing my sweat and such and such...but push push and proceed to not leave me alone until I say yes, I might be there on Sunday. Ruins my whole run. They are also everywhere on the subways here and hell everywhere in general for that matter.

Next time you go jogging dress as a nun.

Alternatively wear an mp3 player and just ignore them, but I like the nun idea.

I just learnt recently that the Korean church language for the phrase "to witness" is a little different from Western understanding.

All christians are called to be a witness for Christ, telling what he has done in their lives, etc.

The Koreans have a word they use in Korean, which really means to bring a person to church with you.
Maybe this would explain why they are so persistent in getting people to church.

The best way is to be lead to church by the holy spirit: God leading you to go.
Edit: perhaps after someone has effectively shared the love of God with you and led to a desire to know him in a personal way.

Just get stigmata in front of them and then run off. Leaving them disappointed that Jesus came back as an sweaty American.

its normally the Jehovah's witnesses that bother me. If it is for you then tell them you've been defellowshipped, that is you were a witness but you've renouced your faith or had a blood transfusion or something.

They arent allowed to talk to you after that.

if American evangelico-loons hadn't come over here and brainwashed some dumb people noone would have to deal with this crap.

the smartest thing Hugo Chavez ever did in Venezuela was to ban American missionaries. Seeing all those pimple faced blue panted and white shirted missionaries in Caracas was driving me nuts!

some kid waltzed into the teacher's room this morning and starts chatting me up out of the blue... almost making himself at home... sitting next to me!!!! I'm like.. WTF?
so it immediately becomes clear what the kid's angle is.. he's a "Christian". So I listed to him politely and am glad when the bell rings and he has to go.. had the bell not rung, my politeness levels would have started decreasing rapidly..

OP next time you should ask them to keep up with you in your running if they expect you to keep up with them to their church. And sprint. Real fast. If they can match your sprinting finesse with their high heels and all, then you owe it to them by visiting their church once.

Seeing as you're already running, the ovious solution is a running clothesline.

There was a church near my old apartment. They tried to get me to go several times. I don't think it was so much wanting to save my soul as they wanted a real live whitey in their congregation.
